Jan Vallila

Jan is a registered nurse and a Finnish Red Cross certified instructor of first aid and health education.

Jan is a specialist nurse in internal medicine and surgery, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management and is a certified diver. He has attended several sea rescue and first response courses in Finland and abroad. Jan specializes in SAR- (Search And Rescue) and HEMS- (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service).

He has worked for about 20 years in health services and sea rescue organizations. For the past 15 years, he has been a surface rescuer / paramedic in a sea rescue helicopter.

Jan’s interests outside work include motorcycling, reading and sports.
